We finally got the line-up for Paris-Tours today from the Paris-Tours site but I don't know if it's the right one yet.
Unai Uribarri, Samuel Sanchez, Igor Anton, Koldo Fernandez, IƱaki Isasi, Alan Perez, Juan Jose Oroz, Dionisio Galparsoro and Aitor Hernandez as a back-up.
This is a great team imo. I don't think Samu will try to win because he's going to wait for Lombardio but if Koldo is in good shape he will definitely have a chance.
I think there are too many sprinters for Koldo. He has the speed to win (he did win some bonificationsprints in front of Petacchi and Benatti), but in the final kilometre he always is afraid of falling I think, because when he is in good position (he was in the wheel of Benatti in a stage Benatti won I remember), he always drops in that final kilometre. That's a pity, but there is still hope.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenPetacchi also started winning important races when he was nearly 30. Koldo is just 26...
Maybe he realises that it's the end of the season and falling now isn't that bad as it is in the tour so he can risk something more :D

BeantwoordenVerwijderenAnd otherwise Anton will win of course. Why does Euskaltel take him for Paris - Tours?
I think they see it as a training for Lombardia next week where Anton and Sanchez probably will compete for the victory
