Andoni king of the mountains in Australia

Although it was said that Andoni experienced some troubles because of a blister on the ball of his feet, he showed his orange jersey immediately during the first race of the season. Certain to make a great year of 2009, he got in the right break together with Olivier Kaisen. The two split the prizes, Andoni took the mountain points and became king of the mountains, Olivier the sprints. With some 30 kilometres to go the two were reeled back in and everything was set up for the sprint. In that sprint Iñaki Isasi placed himself just like sunday 16th. Due to his strong attack Andoni is now 5th overall and maybe he has a chance of taking that mountains classification home.
