The first sprinters stage was on the schedule in the Giro today and it became the classical pattern. A break got away, this time with Roy (again), Buffaz, Seeldraeyers, Brutt, Chiarini and Jurco. In the peloton the tempo was made by Liquigas but there were a lot of crashes. Among the victims there were Ricco, McGee (who gave up) and also Landaluze and Velasco. I don't have news about if they are ok yet. At 30 kilometres before the finish the group was reeled back in. Some riders tried to attack but no one could escape from the raging peloton.
At 5 kilometres before the finish Koldo was in a good position but he got caught in and couldn't sprint for the victory. The win was for Daniele Bennati who beat Zabel and Hondo. Koldo became 6th with a great end jump, I saw potential for the further race !
Tomorrow we will get another sprint chance, so maybe Koldo will take this opportunity and make us proud.

Yeah, his jump was marvellous. It is a pity that noone of the team (like Perez or Galdos) was helping him. He was placed really well till the last 1,5 km. After that Hayman of Rabobank was in his way in the sprint, but still he overtook lots of riders. A stage victory is certainly possible, if he learns to place himself well and more important, stay in that good position/
Yep exactly what I thought !!
