At 5 kilometres all the big sprinters were in front again, Koldo too together with Landaluze, Irizar and later two other Euskaltel riders. Koldo was placed well, but after a fall at 400 kilometres he got stuck between four others and he couldn't get out. Cavendish won his first stage in front of Förster and Bennati. Koldo became 10th, Alan 20th.
The stage for tomorrow can be something for a long escape, but when the pack gets together at the end riders like Rebellin will get their chance.

I was disappointed really. He was placed so well but just did not have the power and the room in the end. I saw he was disappointed himself too, he was doing something with his arm when he was just before the finishing line, so that makes me hope that it was more about the room then about the power.
It was about the room I think. More luck next time :p
