
At 15 kilometres the bunch almost had the break reeled back in, so Hansen decided to try it on his one. He attacked and managed to stay away until 2 kilometres before the finish. On the last climb the big guns appear in front. Di Luca came back from far behind, he attacked but Ricco was stronger and outsprinted him. Bettini tried to beet him but he once again wasn't fast enough.
The next stage will be another one for the sprinters.

Yes, a quiet day for Euskaltel Euskadi. I think it's a good think, not doing too much yesterday to be weel today. It should be a sprint on this stage 9, so the team will have a lot of work to protect and then to place Koldo Fernandez.
I hope he will win today...
